Conference History

Continuing progress in our understanding of molecular energy transfer, and the importance of this process have provided the impetus for a series of conferences on this topic, dating back to 1969. The conferences have taken place biennially, alternating between a Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on Molecular Energy Transfer in the US and an International Conference on Molecular Energy Transfer (COMET) in Europe. This alternation underlines the international aspect of the field and provides a regular channel for exchange between scientists around the world. The GRC/COMET conferences in this series, venues, and organisers are listed below.
